The purpose for processing your data and our basis for doing so.
We process personal data so we can provide our digital coupon and loyalty card service to consumers. We also process personal data to offer competitions, maintain communication and to send information about ourselves and our services which we believe is relevant. We process the data you provide through our website registration form or give us directly on emails, by telephone or at network meetings or events.
When we process your personal data, we must establish our legal basis for doing so and that legal basis can be different depending on circumstances in which we process it. You will see references to the basis of processing e.g.,”(Article. 6.1.f)” and this is a reference to the article of the UK General Data Protection Regulation under which we undertake the processing in question.
If you are a consumer registering on our website to access coupon offers or loyalty cards, we collect your full name, email address, telephone number. You also have the choice to provide your date of birth, gender, country of residence and image, but it is not mandatory to create a registration. Our lawful basis for processing this information is Article 6.1.f – ‘legitimate interest’ as we have a legitimate commercial interest as a business to promote organisations and the offers they provide as well as deliver to you targeted and relevant information.
If you are nominating someone for a competition, we collect your full name, email address and mobile phone number. We will also process the nominee’s full name. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the nominee’s consent to provide us with their details. We process this data for this purpose under Article 6.1.f of the UK GDPR – ‘legitimate interest’, as we have a legitimate commercial interest as a business in promoting other organisations.
If you are a business offering coupon discounts or loyalty card benefits, the personal data we collect is your full name, email address and post code. We do this in accordance with Article 6.1.b of the UK GDPR – ‘performance of a contract’. We also process your data to keep in touch and we do this under the legal basis of Article 6.1.f of the UK GDPR ‘Legitimate Interest’ as we have a legitimate interest in answering your enquiries, promoting our business.
We will conduct profiling of your choices of coupons or loyalty cards to identify what offers are being selected which in turn provides us information as to what we should provide to our members. You will not be significantly or legally affected by our profiling of your coupon preferences.
If you fail to provide the information we require for contractual purposes, we will be unable to provide the agreed services to you.
As a business to business organisation, Screen Social may conduct marketing activities and send updates and information about our services to organisations we believe would benefit from our services. The lawful basis for undertaking this is Article 6.1.f ‘Legitimate Interest’ as we have a legitimate interest is developing and marketing our business. You can object to our marketing at any time by contacting us. We will retain your basic data to ensure your details are suppressed from our marketing activity. Our legal basis for this is Article 6.1.c – we have a legal obligation not to continue to send you marketing without a lawful basis.

We use the services of other organisations in the processing your data. We use Coupon Tools for processing your coupon and loyalty card registration and choices, email, video conference platforms and Google Docs for document storage. Our website also processes limited personal data such as IP address.
Those organisations that process personal data on our behalf are subject to a data processing contract as required by Article 28 of the UK GPDR. This ensures that your data is handled in accordance with the UK GPDR.
Transferring your data outside of the UK
We transfer personal data to the EU by virtue of the UK’s adequacy decision and to the USA in accordance with standard contractual clauses as allowed by the UK GDPR.
We will retain your data only for the time we require it for the purposes stated and / or where we have a legal obligation or other legitimate purpose. We will retain your data for seven years after you stop using our services.
